This is one of the most cherished and anticipated elements of the Annual Community Awards Banquet! This is your opportunity to use your creative talents to decorate a winning table. Prizes are donated to the non-profit organization of your choosing. We’ve made some changes this year to increase the fun!
Theme:
- “Welcome to Wonderland” (wherever your imagination takes you)
Items Provided:
- Table for 10: (1) 72” round table, (10) chairs, (1) white linen tablecloth and (10) burgundy napkins
- Glassware, silverware, etc., also provided by the Marcus Whitman.
Changes:
- No Gift Requirement. You are no longer required to bring a gift for each of the table guests, but you are welcome to do so.
- No Centerpiece Give-Away Requirement. You may take your centerpiece home at the end of the night or give it away to one lucky person at your table. Please clearly label any decorations you DO NOT want people to take home at the end of the night. All decorations that are not to be given away will need to be removed at the end of the event. The Chamber cannot guarantee the return of your items.
- Announcements will be made reminding guests to leave labeled items on the tables.
When to Decorate:
- Wednesday, December 4th at the Marcus Whitman Explorer Ballroom
- Between 10:00am—2:00pm Tables must be completed by 2:00pm sharp.
- Check in with the Chamber Event Coordinator, Marissa Miller, for your table number.
Decorations:
- Small artificial snow particles, glitter, confetti, or any other small materials may NOT be used. Manufactured cotton snow is recommended to be used as artificial snow.
- Table Hosts may bring their own table covers, chair covers, chargers and napkins.
- Table decorations must NOT obstruct the view of the guests - tall centerpieces are acceptable if the bases are such that you can easily see through to assure the guests visibility of the entire room.
- If you wish to incorporate wine into your decorations or gift wine to the guests seated at your table, you must pay the corkage fee (roughly $8) per bottle. As the Table Host, you can pay for all of the corkage fees up front OR your guests may pay for their own corkage fee. Alternatively, if you do not wish to pay the corkage fee or ask that of your guests, you can clearly label each bottle with a note informing your guests that the bottle is to be enjoyed at home, after the event.

- First Prize $300, Second $200, Third $100 - given to the non-profit organization of the winners choice.
